Abstract:
PURPOSE:To detect the rotating angle of a rotating plate all over the whole circumference. CONSTITUTION:An annular slit 15 is formed in a rotating plate 13. The annular slit 15 deviates from the center of a rotary axis 13. A first and a second photodetectors 17, 19 are arranged confronting the annular slit. The photodetectors 17, 19 are shifted 90 deg. in the rotating direction of the rotating plate 13 and output a photodetecting signal corresponding to the photodetecting position. Therefore, as the rotating plate 13 rotates, the first and second photodetectors 17, 19 output photodetecting sine signals corresponding to the position of the annular slit 15, and the rotating angle of the rotating plate 13 is detected based on the photodetecting signals.
