PURPOSE: To increase adhesive intensity of a black layer on the inside face in a metal container part, to prevent the outside face from easy reaction with insulating oil, and to maintain stable thermal conductivity for a long time.
CONSTITUTION: In a rotating anode type X-ray tube, a metal container 16, which is a part of a vacuum container 21 surrounding an anode target 14, is constructed in such ways as adhering protecting layers 16b, 16c onto at least outside face or a base material 16a and adhering a black layer 16c composed of iron oxide onto the inside face. As to a manufacturing method for the rotating positive electrode type X-ray tube, onto the inside face of the base material, iron is deposited in the predetermined reduced pressure atmosphere containing oxygen so as to be adhered by means of sputtering or ion plating, and consequently, the black layer 16c composed of iron oxide is adhered.
