Title:
ROTATING ANODE X-RAY TUBE PROVIDED WITH AXIAL BEARING ARRANGEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001057167
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a rotating anode X-ray tube including an axial bearing which is particularly suitable for the combination with a radially spiral slot bearing.

In a conventional axial bearing generally having two tooth-like structures directed radially and arranged opposite to each other, there is the problem that substantial radial force is generated during the start stage and stop stage, and the radial force produces substantial friction of a radially spiral slot bearing in particular. In this X-ray tube, by the arrangement of at least two magnet elements 50, 55 separated in the axial direction and connected together so as to absorb the force of the axial bearing, the axial bearing having significantly small radial force, and accordingly, a small load of a radial bearing can be realized. The problem related to the axial bearing of conventional technology is resolved, by using the axial bearing in the form of a one-point ball bearing.
