Abstract:
PURPOSE: To restrict increase of bearing temperature within tolerance and shorten cooling time of a rotary anode system tube, by changing thermal resistance of heat dissipation path through which heat passes from the tube to outside through a bearing. CONSTITUTION: A convergence electron beam 1 is directed toward radially outside of a rotary anode system tube 2 and high heat dissipation on the tube 2 releases heat with temperature up to, for example, 1500 deg.C. The tube 2 is soldered to a rotor 4 through a shaft 3. A protrusion 7 is placed in the hollow cylindrical shaft 3 and includes contact surfaces 8, 9 respectively corresponding to contact surfaces 10, 11 of the shaft 3 such that the contacts 8, 9 respectively face toward the contacts 10, 11 short distance away from each other. Temperature decrease of the tube 2 due to heat dissipation causes contacts 8, 9 to contact with contacts 10, 11 at their edge and heat to transfer through contact surfaces. Therefore, thermal resistance of heat dissipation path through which heat passes from the tube 2 to outside through a bearing 5 is decreased with heat release, temperature increase of bearing 5 is restricted within tolerance, and cooling time of the tube 2 is shortened.
