Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method and device for correcting the skew angle of a sheet during supplying the same including a period of time wherein the sheet is turned from one direction to the other direction.
CONSTITUTION: The skew angle of a sheet 39 (a business form or another document, for example) is detected by providing with two sets of sensors 40, spaced from each other in a direction orthogonal to the direction of conveyance of the sheet 39. When there is a skew, a moving distance of the fore end of the sheet 39 during detection through the sensors 40 is measured and the skew angle is operated from the tangent of the same. The skew angle is corrected by turning first and second independent driving rolls 35, arranged below the sheet, into opposite directions. According to this method, the device is not only useful upon supplying to the pressure sealer pressure device for the business form but also the device can be coped with various kinds of sheet or various kinds of devices.
