Title:
ROTATING ELECTRIC MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3716809
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electric machine which has two rotors of an inner rotor and an outer rotor provided with a plurality of permanent magnets in the circumferential direction with a stator between and is driven by a combined current supplied to coils of the stator, wherein with an identical magnitude of magnetism, the stator can be reduced in size, and with an identical size of the stator, the magnitude of magnetism can be reduced.
SOLUTION: Either of the two rotors has normal salient pole characteristics, and the other has inverse salient pole characteristics. The normal salient pole characteristics are implemented, for example, by providing the rotors with projections and depressions or gaps, or driving the rotors by a q-axis current within a range that q-axis inductance is saturated.
