To provide a rotating equipment, wherein an internal space is partitioned into a blade wheel chamber and a motor chamber with a partition wall and a shaft insertion hole for a shaft to be insertable is provided in the partition wall where the shaft is inserted, using a motor for driving the shaft to be rotated and using an exhaust means for producing pressure in the motor chamber lower than in the blade wheel chamber while suppressing the leakage of gas from the blade wheel chamber to the motor chamber without providing a seal portion between the shaft insertion hole and the shaft with precise machining.
In a space S between the shaft 2 and the shaft insertion hole 5x, a fluid leakage suppressing region A2 is provided using a spiral groove 2y for suppressing the flow of fluid from a turbo blade chamber 51 as the blade wheel chamber to the motor chamber 52.
