Title:
ROTATING HEAD DRUM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2604078
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a good recording track by providing two unbalanced correction surfaces separately located in the axial-direction and located in the both sides of the rotational center of gravity of a rotating head drum and by providing an opening section at the lower drum where no magnetic tape is wound.
CONSTITUTION: At least two unbalanced correction surfaces 7 and 9 are provided for a balancing purpose at locations separated in the axial direction and located in the both sides of the rotational center of gravity of a rotating section 20 of a rotating head drum and an opening section 1a is provided at a lower drum 1 where no magnetic tape 21 is wound. When a unbalance occurs at an arbitrary place of the rotating section 20 of the rotating drum, the unbalance is eliminated by using the two correction surfaces 7 and 9 which are oppositely placed with respect to the rotational center of gravity. In order to eliminate a unbalance which is closely located to the side of the lower drum 1, the work is done from the lower drum opening section 1a.
