Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller and control system capable of improving power generation efficiency of a rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: A vehicle comprises an engine 100, an electric generator 200, and a motor 300. The electric generator 200 is constituted by a variable field rotary electric machine whose field magnetic flux is variable. An ECU 500 controls field current of the electric generator 200 in order to increase or decrease a field magnetic flux of the electric generator 200, depending on an operation state of the engine 100. The ECU 500: suppresses a drag loss of the electric generator 200 by minimizing the field magnetic flux in an engine stop state; and maximizes the field magnetic flux according to the request torque in an engine operation state.
