Abstract:
To provide a rotor for a rotary electric machine capable of effectively cooling a radially outer region of a permanent magnet which is most easily heated.SOLUTION: A rotor 20 for a rotary electric machine comprises a rotor core 30 in which a plurality of magnetic pole parts 40 are formed. In each magnetic pole part 40, a first permanent magnet 421 is inserted in a first magnet insertion hole 411. Inside of the first magnet insertion hole 411, a d-axis side space part 431d is formed between a d-axis side end 421d of the first permanent magnet 421 and a d-axis side end 411d of the first magnet insertion hole 411, and a q-axis side space part 431q is formed between a q-axis side end 421q of the first permanent magnet 421 and a q-axis side end 411q of the first magnet insertion hole 411. The first permanent magnet 421 includes a first communication part 42a communicating the d-axis side end 421d and the q-axis side end 421q, and a second communication part 42b communicating the d-axis side end 421d and the q-axis side end 421q.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
