Abstract:

To provide a rotating operation type electronic component used for an input operation unit on various types of electronic apparatuses capable of providing a uniform elastic contact pressure of a contact brush which comes into contact with a fixed contact disposed in a concave portion of a case.

The rotating operation type electronic component has an operation shaft 2 protruding from a main body 1 which is constituted of a case 3 and a bearing 4. The operation shaft 2 stored in a concave portion of the case 3 has a contact brush 17 which is swage-fixed to the bottom face of the flange 2A and is formed with an emboss 17F. The contact brush 17 has a generally circular shape and has, in an outer circumference area, arm portions extending in the circumferential direction, plane plate portion 17A as the inner circumference area has an arc-shaped emboss to increase the rigidity of the contact brush 17.
