Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a mixed compound having a large bulk specific gravity and an ease of molding in a short time and to produce a fire-resistant brick having a high mechanical strength.
CONSTITUTION: In a rotating pan-type mixer, a brick material, a binder, and others are loaded in a pan 7 that can be rotationally driven, and the materials are kneaded by the rotation of stirring blades 18, the pan 7, and kneading rollers 10 to produce a mixed compound. With the increase of the rotational load of the pan and/or the kneading rollers 10, the stirring blades 18 are lifted to be retracted out of the mixed compound, and the mixed compound is completely kneaded using only the kneading rollers 10.
