Abstract:

To provide a rotating tool for welding an inner corner which has excellent in cost effectiveness, and to provide an inner corner welding method using the rotating tool for welding an inner corner.

In the tool 1 for welding the inner corner, an inner corner section formed by butting a pair of metal members is subjected to friction stir welding. The tool 1 includes: a stirring pin 3 inserted into the inner corner part; and a base block 2 supporting the stirring pin 3 and further abutted against the pair of metal members, respectively. The base block 2 includes: a body part 4 made narrower toward the tip; and a shoulder 5 formed at the tip of the body part 4 attachably/detachably, and the stirring pin 3 penetrates the body part 4 and the shoulder 5.
