To solve a problem in conventional rotation angle detection systems that connection of transmission lines is complicated since it is necessary to connect a circuit disposed at a control side and a circuit disposed at a drive side with two or more transmission lines.
In the rotation angle detection system, a drive-side signal processing circuit 15 is provided at a power line 2 of the drive side and a serial angle signal 5a, output from a drive-side parallel/serial converter 5, is superposed on a reference signal 1a and transmitted to the control side. In addition, a control-side signal processing circuit 16 is provided at the power line 2 of the control side, and the serial angle signal 5a is extracted from the reference signal 1a.
