Abstract:
To prevent the magnetic flux from leaking from the magnet and acting on the magnetic viscous fluid to increase the basis torque in a rotation brake device that moves the magnetic material by the rotational centrifugal force and changes the brake force in accordance with the rotational speed.SOLUTION: A rotation brake device comprises: a rotor 3; a rotor housing 4; magnetic viscous fluid 6; magnetic field generating means 7; and so forth. The magnetic field generating means 7 includes: a magnet 12; a movable yoke 14; and first to third yokes 16 to 18. The first yoke 16 with one end 16a connected to the magnetic pole S of a magnet 13 and the other end 16b disposed on one side in the axial direction of the rotor 3. The second yoke 17 with one end 17a disposed on the other side in the axial direction of the rotor 3 and the other end 17b disposed magnetically connectable to the magnetic pole N of the magnet 13 via the movable yoke 14. The third yoke 18 has one end 18a connected to the magnetic pole S of the magnet 13 and the other end 18b disposed magnetically connectable to the magnetic pole N of the magnet 13 via the movable yoke 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
