Title:
ROTATION CONTROL DEVICE IN OPERATION STOP FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002285882
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a rotation control device in an operation stop for an internal combustion engine capable of surely reducing vibration in the stopping rotation of the internal combustion engine.

In an automatic stop of the engine, the number of engine revolutions NE is maintained at the reference number of revolutions NEidl for a reference time (S340-S370), so that air pressure inside an engine cylinder is lowered. In this way, when the cylinder internal air pressure is lowered, a pressure fluctuation inside a combustion chamber due to revolution is reduced, and consequently, a torque fluctuation in stopping the revolution is lowered. Because the number of revolutions is gradually reduced for stopping (S420), a creeping force is not changed suddenly, and vehicle vibration is not caused. While the number of revolutions is gradually lowered, the evolution is stopped immediately just before the number resonance revolutions (S430-S460), so that vibration due to resonance and vibration due to increase of the cylinder internal air pressure can be prevented.
