Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation detector capable of detecting rotation even without carrying out any learning control and the like.
SOLUTION: An axisymmetric trapezoidal magnetoresistance element 2 is arranged so that the symmetric axis of the trapezoidal shape is tilted along the magnetic flux direction emitted from a bias magnet 4. Desirably, the direction of the magnetic flux corresponds to the symmetric axis of the trapezoidal shape. In this structure, when a magnetic center C of the bias magnet 4 is set as a magnetic deflection angle center, an operation point in which a temperature characteristic becomes zero can be deviated from the magnetic deflection angle center, and an output signal using the operating point as the center can be obtained. Consequently, an output signal waveform takes a wavy shape using the point, in which the temperature characteristic becomes zero, as the center at either of a room temperature or a high temperature, and threshold is surely carried out at a predetermined threshold value. Therefore, rotation can be accurately detected without carrying out any learning control.
