Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a rotation device of a rail vehicle which is reliable in operation, can be manufactured at a low cost and is capable of speedily converting the moving direction of continuous rail vehicles in particular.
CONSTITUTION: This device is formed of a turntable 1 fixed with two tracks 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b crossing by 90°, entering tracks 4a, 4b and leaving tracks 5a, 5b mutually forming 90° as well. In a primary state, a vehicle 10 enters on the turntable 1 through the entering tracks. The turntable 1 is rotated by 90° and the vehicle 10 moves back to leave the turntable 1 to enter the tracks 5a, 5b. When the first vehicle leaves the turntable 1, the second vehicle can enter the turntable 1 through the tracks 4a, 4b. The turntable 1 is discontinuously rotated in the same rotating direction by 90° each time of it.
