PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost rotation direction turnover device in which a rotation of a carrier is controlled by a simple mechanism and a free setting of the number of revolution when an output shaft is turned over is facilitated.SOLUTION: There are provided an input shaft and an output shaft coaxially arranged to each other and a planetary gear mechanism having a planetary gear and its carrier is present between the input shaft and the output shaft. The input shaft is connected to a ring gear of the planetary gear mechanism, the output shaft is connected to a sun gear of the planetary gear mechanism and the input shaft and the carrier are connected through a torque limiting device. The input shaft and the output shaft have mounted a limiter on the other shaft than the input shaft and the output shaft and the limiter and the input shaft are connected by a transmission device. The limiter and the carrier form engaging parts that are engaged to each other. When the engaging parts of the carrier and the limiter are not engaged to each other, the output shaft is integrally rotated with the carrier and the input shaft and in turn when the engaging parts of the carrier and the limiter are engaged to each other, the number of revolution of the carrier is decreased by the limiter and the output shaft is rotated in a reverse direction in respect to the input shaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
