To provide a driving control unit that warns a user that a recorded image is judged to deteriorate in image quality owing to a slip of a reduction gear in such a case and enables the user to take necessary counter measures for an image forming apparatus that transmits rotations of a motor to a rotated body such as a photoreceptor drum by using a traction reduction gear.
The rotating drive control unit is equipped with a motor which rotates a speed corresponding to a control signal, a reduction roller mechanism which decelerates and transmits rotations of the motor to the rotated body through a plurality of rollers pressed against each other, and a rotation control part which compares the rotating speed of an output shaft of the reduction roller mechanism with a target rotating speed of the rotated body and sends a control signal to the motor so that the rotating speeds of the both are equal to each other, and detects the slip quantity of the reduction roller mechanism by comparing the rotating speed of the output shaft of the reduction roller mechanism with the rotating speed of the output shaft of the motor and sends a warning signal to the control part of the image forming apparatus when the slip quantity exceeds a specified value.
