Abstract:
A rotor (4) includes: a rotor core (22) fixed to a rotating shaft (21) so as to be rotatable together with the rotating shaft (21); and a plurality of permanent magnets (24) embedded and fixed in the rotor core (22). Each permanent magnet (24) is formed of a pair of magnet pieces (24a, 24b) having a pair of magnetic pole-facing portions (41a, 41b) radially extending and magnetized so that poles of the same polarity face each other in a circumferential direction. The pair of the magnetic pole-facing portions (41a, 41b) is formed so that the length of each magnetic pole-facing portion in a magnetization direction is greater in a radially outer portion than in a radially inner portion.
