Title:
ROTATION PHASE CONTROL DEVICE AND VALVE TIMING CONTROL DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3943892
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably retain a driving rotor and a driven rotor in arbitrary relative rotation positions by a magnetic force.
SOLUTION: A permanent magnetic block 29 having a plurality of magnetic poles is connected to a driving plate 3 via a torque amplifying mechanism 5, and a yoke block 30 having yokes 39A and 39B is connected to a cam shaft 1. The respective yokes 39a and 39b are provided with a first and second polar tooth rings 37 and 38 having a plurality of polar teeth 37b and 38b opposed to the magnetic pole surface of the block 29, and the polar teeth 37b and 38b are alternately formed along the circumferential direction. All the polar teeth 37b and 38b are deviated by a prescribed pitch along the circumferential direction. A solenoid coil block 32 is fixed to a non-rotation member, magnetic inlet/outlet ends 44 and 45 of the coils 33A and 33B are opposed to the respective polar tooth rings 37 and 38 via an air gap a. The magnetic field generated by the solenoid coils 33A and 33B are changed at prescribed patterns.
