To provide a rotational driving force transmitting mechanism comprising a novel constitution without requiring an electromagnetic clutch and a one-way clutch.
Rotational driving force generated by a motor 10 in two directions is transmitted to an output mechanism 40 in the rotational driving force transmitting mechanism 20. The mechanism 20 has a rotation/linear motion converting means (composed of a first pin 26a, a first pin guide part 22g, a second pin 26b, and a second pin guide part 23g) which moves a first input side transmitting member 22 and a second input side transmitting member 23 in the axial direction by the rotation of an input side rotating shaft 21. The mechanism 20 can be switched from a first power transmitting state that the first input side transmitting member 22 is connected to a first output side transmitting member to a second power transmitting state that the second input side transmitting member 23 is connected to a second output side transmitting member and vice versa. By this, an external driven mechanism connected to the output mechanism 40 can be operated in two directions.
