Abstract:
To provide a rotation inertia mass damper which can generate a large damper force by using an existing motor while suppressing a rotation number of the hydraulic motor to an allowable rotation number or smaller with respect to vibration within an amplitude range from a wind swing up to an excessive earthquake motion, and a setting method of its equivalent mass.SOLUTION: A rotation inertia mass damper 1 has: a cylinder 2 and a piston 3; a gear motor 5 arranged in a communication path 4, and converting the circulation of a working fluid HF to a rotational motion; a flywheel 6 rotationally driven by the gear motor 5, and exerting a rotation inertia effect by an equivalent mass; and first and second relief valves 8, 9 arranged at the piston 3. In this invention, the flywheel 6 has an equivalent mass λmd corresponding to specifications of the cylinder 2, the gear motor 5 and the relief valves 8, 9 which can suppress a rotation number n_max of the gear motor 5 to a prescribed allowable rotation number nmax_s or smaller even with respect to an input of the excessive large earthquake motion to a construction B (Fig.10).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
