Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the rotational phase detector of a synchronous motor capable of detecting the rotational phase of a synchronous motor reliably at high speed, by means of one position sensor.SOLUTION: Assuming the amplitude of cogging torque is Ta, the degree of which is N, the frictional torque acting when a synchronous motor 1 is stopped is Tf, and the angle obtained by the following equation is X, a position sensor 2 is installed so that the rotational position of a rotor 11, when a position sensor signal from the position sensor 2 is switched, falls within a range capable of installing the position sensor separated by the angle X or more from a stable stop position determined by the cogging torque. X={sin(Tf/Ta)}/N.
