Abstract:
To provide a rotational speed detector which can improve an output of a sensor while maintaining an angular resolution of the sensor in a high accuracy.
The rotational speed detector 10 comprises a magnetic encoder 20 multi-pole magnetized circumferentially, and the sensor 15 opposed to the encoder 20 to detect a rotational speed. A sensitive surface of the sensor 15 is made in a rectangular shape. An aspect ratio b/a of a circumferential dimension (a) to its longitudinal dimension (b) of this sensitive surface is set to a value of 2 or more.
