Abstract:

To obtain a rotational speed sensor which is compact and low-cost, by which the change amount per unit time of the number of coil interlinkage magnetic fluxes is made large and by which a large voltage can be output by a method, wherein a guidance means which protrudes to the inner wall face of a cap is installed.

Guidance means 38a which protrudes to the inside diameter side at equal intervals in the circumferential direction are formed at the sidewall part of a cap 38. Then, the cap 38 is fixed, together with a stay 30, a magnet 32 and a coil 24, by a resin 42 in a position in which comb teeth 36a of the stay are not facing with the means 38a. First, in a positional state that comb teeth 30a of a sensor rotor 31 do not face the means 38a, a magnetic flux which forms a magnetic route via the comb teeth 30a, 36a is circulated around the coil 34. In this case, since the gap between the comb teeth 30a, and 36a is narrow, the number of interlinkage magnetic fluxes of the coil 34 is large. On the other hand, in a state where the comb teeth 30a do not face the comb teeth 36a, a magnetic route indicated by an arrow to the cap 38 from the means 38a is formed, and the number of interlinkage magnetic fluxes of the coil 34 is small, Consequently, the change amount of the number of interlinkage magnetic fluxes of the coil is made large, and a large induced power can be obtained even when the rotor 30 is turned at a low speed.
