To provide a rotor of AC generators for vehicles, where magnetic materials can be attached satisfactorily, and deterioration in durability and characteristics can be prevented despite poor roughness in a face opposite to magnetic poles.
The rotor 15 of the AC generator 1 for vehicles includes a pole core 17 with at least two pole core bodies in which tapered claw-like magnetic poles are extended from one axial end to the other and the claw-like magnetic poles mate with each other and are arranged circumferentially, a rotating shaft 18 to which the pole core is fixed, and field winding 16 attached to the pole core. The rotor 15 of the AC generator 1 for vehicles also includes a disk-like sheet material 30 that includes a magnetic material and is sandwiched between mutually and axially opposite surfaces of the pole core bodies.
