Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise and vibration by providing a rotary spoiler whose top face forms a part of a blade face of a rotor blade on the rotor blade in such a manner that it can rotate freely and protruding the rotary spoiler above the blade face to disturb the stream of air which flows along the blade face and change lift.
SOLUTION: In a rotor blade 1 used in a rotor of a helicopter, a plurality of rotary spoilers 2 are provided at equal interval or any interval in the longitudinal direction in a section of a wing tip from the center of the rotor blade 1 in a rear fringe part thereof. Each rotary spoiler 2 is provided in an upper recessed part 4 which is opened on a wing face 1a side of a mounting part 3 provided on the rotor blade 1 in such a manner that it can turn freely and is positioned in a non-appearance condition and an appearance condition due to the operation of an ultrasonic motor 6. When it is in the appearance condition, a top face 2a of the rotary spoiler 2 protrudes above a wing face 1a of the rotor blade 1 so that it acts as a spoiler which disturbs the stream of air which flows along the wing face 1a.
