Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the temperature of a rotary electric machine from rising by forming a solid part between the lead hole and a bore hole of a section in which a bolt for connecting between the poles of a field coil passes perpendicularly a rotational shaft, and forming intake and exhaust holes at the surface of the shaft, thereby directly cooling the bolt. CONSTITUTION:A hole 16, through which a connection bolt 4 for connecting the ends 7 of a field coil is passed, is formed perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of a shaft 1, the lead hole 5 and the bore hole 6 of the section are isolated as a solid shaft. The bolt 4 is inserted together with an insulating cylinder 12 into the hole 16. Cooling hydrogen is flowed from an inlet hole 13 which is formed at the surface of the shaft upon rotation, through a vent groove 15 and the section 14' between the bolt 4 and the cylinder 12, and exhausted from the exhaust hole 14 of the surface of the shaft at opposite side, not shown. It can prevent the hydrogen from leaking out of a rotary electric machine, thereby effectively cooling the bolt 4 to prevent the temperature from rising.
