Abstract:
To provide a rotor for a rotating electric machine capable of reducing the weight of the rotor, reducing the inertial force of the rotor, and enhancing responsiveness.
The rotor 1 for a rotating electric machine has a shaft and a rotor body 3 provided on the shaft. At least one of the rotor body 3 and the shaft is formed by using magnesium or a magnesium alloy as a base material. A base 4 of the rotor body 3 is also formed by using magnesium or a magnesium alloy as a base material.
