Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor sail capable of allowing sailing to both directions of a starboard closing and a port side closing with only one sail in a sail called a wing sail and using mainly a wing of a craft as a sail for the propulsion on the sea.SOLUTION: The present rotor sail is attached rotatably to a boat in a wing chord direction shaft C, wing width direction and rotor sail thickness direction shafts or the like and tacking is performed. At this time, the rotor sails are rotated in the target shaft direction, and lift force of the rotor sails is reversed easily. The rotor sails are supported by a support frame 350 rotatably around each axis, so that operability is improved.
