Title:
ROTOR SHAFT WITH COOLING BORE INLETS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2015178832
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved rotor shaft.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a rotor shaft adapted to rotate about a rotor axis of the rotor shaft. The rotor shaft includes a rotor cavity 120 configured concentrically or quasi-concentrically to the rotor axis 110 inside the rotor shaft, and a plurality of cooling bores 130 extending radially or quasi-radially outward from the inside to an outside of the rotor shaft 100. Each cooling bore 130 having a bore inlet location 160 and a distal bore outlet portion 134, each of the bore inlet locations 160 being adapted to abut on the rotor cavity 120. At least one side or part-side of the cooling bore inlet location is provided with an asymmetric edge fillet 150 in order to maximize the wall thickness between two adjacent cooling bores 130.
