Title:
ROTOR FOR SUPERCONDUCTING ELECTRICAL ROTARY MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6455062
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the reliability of an apparatus by providing the outer peripheral side of end plates with ring-shaped thick-walled parts.

CONSTITUTION: A rotor for a superconducting electrical rotating machine is equipped with a coil mounting shaft 2, end plates 7 fitted to the inner peripheral part of said shaft 2, and a superconducting field coil 3; and liquid nitrogen is prevented from leaking from a refrigerant vessel to a vacuum part. In this case, the outer peripheral parts of said end plates 7 are provided with ring- shaped thick-walled parts 23 formed by a cutting process. During rotation of a rotor, thus, the end plates 7 are deformed by an internal pressure due to the centrifugal force of liquid nitrogen used as a refrigerant, but the deformation of the end plates 7 is held small by said ring-shaped thick-walled parts 23.
