Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a rotor of a highly reliable and safe superconducting rotary electric device which can prevent excessive rise of a pressure by quickly releasing a coolant when an internal pressure of rotor rises.
CONSTITUTION: A three-way valve 9 is mounted on a helium supply pipe 3 for usually connecting the helium supply pipe 3 and a helium Dewer 10. If an internal pressure of a cylinder within a rotor rises, such pressure is detected automatically to connect a helium supply pipe 3 with an exhaust pipe 11. Therefore, the liquid helium 2a inversely flows through the coolant supply pipe 3 and is then released to the outside.
