Title:
ROTOR FOR SUPERCONDUCTIVE ELECTRIC ROTARY MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5713960
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the superconduction breakdown for the subject rotor by a method wherein a groove interconnecting the inside and the outside of a retaining ring is provided at the contact section of the retaining ring to be used for retention of the end section of a coil mounting shaft and a magnetic winding and the heat infiltrated from a torque tube is absorbed in the groove. CONSTITUTION:The groove 22, to interconnect the inside and the outside of the retaining ring 20, is provided at the contact section of the coil mounting shaft 2 and the retaining ring located at the end section of the coil mounting shaft 2. A plurality of grooves 22 are provided on the circumference and liquid helium enters into said groove 22. Through these procedures, the greater part of the heat entering through the torque tube 1 is absorbed by the liquid helium in the groove 22 and the rise in temperature of the superconductive magnetic coil 3 can be prevented.
