Title:
ROTOR OF SUPERCONDUCTIVE ROTARY ELECTRIC MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6450753
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve shielding performance and to reduce Joule heat, by forming an ordinary temperature damper of a superconductor.

CONSTITUTION: An ordinary temperature damper 41 of the rotor of a superconductive rotary electric machine is equipped with a superconductor 41a fixed to the grooves of a cylindrical support 41b. This superconductor 41a is arranged axially and circumferentially and forms a squirrel-cage electric circuit. When the variable flux is applied to the ordinary temperature damper 41, the current to deny the variable field will flow through the superconductor 41a. As the electric resistance of the superconductor 41a is zero, nothing will prevent the current from flowing, so that a remarkable shielding effect comes into action Joule less will not occur, either. The shielding performance can thereby be enhanced and the low temperature damper omitted.
