Title:
ROTOR TYPE FLOATING TOY THAT CONTINUES FLOATING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3431490
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a floater to float stably by local ascending air currents generated by a small blower by forming the ascending currents with the blower and floating the floater made up of a rotor and a stabilizer, while rotating it in the ascending currents.
SOLUTION: A floater 1 is formed of a lightweight material such as styrofoam (R) and structured by fixing a rotor 3 to the upper portion of a stabilizer 4. The blades of the rotor 3 are given a twisted wing-shaped cross section by twisting the front downward in the direction of rotation. The stabilizer 4 is formed into a skirt shape having a wing-shaped cross section, spreading the lower end portion. A pickup rod 5 is provided in the center of the floater 1 so that the floater 1 may be brought into ascending currents while holding the pickup road, and may be given an initial spin by spinning it like a top. The floater 1 is spun in the ascending currents by driving a blower 2 and thereby generating ascending air currents. Then, an aerodynamic force of the ascending currents rotate the rotor 3 continuously, making it continue floating in the air.
