Abstract:
In a damping arrangement for a radial magnetic bearing (3,4) for a rotor having a stator (4) firmly attached to an intermediate member (8), the intermediate member is attached in the axial direction via balls (14) in cups (12) of the intermediate member and in cups (10) of a housing part (11)to the housing part. The diameter of the cups is larger than that of the balls, which consist of an elastically deformable material. The elastic module of the deformable material is large in relation to that of metals. The intermediate member is preferably attached to the housing part in the radial direction by additional damping members (16).
