Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a round material skid button for a movable hearth type furnace embodying the prolongation of a service life, the cost reduction and the shortening of a replacing work period.

CONSTITUTION: In a groove type or drum type skid button for supporting round material 2 in a furnace, the protruding parts 5 and recessed parts 6 of the skid button are divided individually and provided alternately in the length direction of the furnace, and the material used for the protruding part 5 and recessed part 6 of the skid button are mutually different in such a way as to be optimum to the respective conditions. For instance, a heat resisting alloy with high Co is used for the protruding part, and Cr-Ni group heat resisting steel is used for the recessed part.
