Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable liquid supply unit and a recorder in which the quantity of liquid flowing into a recording head is increased while preventing the image quality from deteriorating due to mixture of bubble.
SOLUTION: The liquid supply unit 1 comprises a main liquid chamber 11 incorporating a capillary member 12 for holding the liquid, and an intermediate liquid chamber 16 communicating with the main liquid chamber 11 through a first meniscus forming member 14. The intermediate liquid chamber 16 is provided with a plurality of ports 2 for supplying the liquid to a recording head 3. Each supply port 2 is arranged with a second meniscus forming member 17. The recording head 3 is provided with a plurality of joints 4 corresponding to respective supply ports 2 and the liquid is supplied to a head chip 24 through respective liquid channels 23. Since a plurality of supply ports 2 and liquid channels 23 are provided, a specified flow rate is ensured even it the diameters thereof are small and the inner air is discharged well to the outside.
