PURPOSE: To provide a route guiding navigation device to instruct and guide a route to go ahead at this side of each place such as a cross or a street corner, etc., on the route to a destination.

CONSTITUTION: A position calculating device 3 calculates the position information of plural traveled places on the basis of the information of a receiving antenna 1 to track a satellite and receive satellite data and a sensor 2 consisting of an acceleration sensor for self-contained navigation and so on, and outputs the position information successively to a guiding and controlling device 4. The guiding and controlling device 4 discriminates the cross, etc., on the traveling route to the destination on the basis of the position information, and stores the position information of each discriminated place in a storage device 5. On the other hand, when the destination is set, if the guiding and controlling device 4 judges that the set destination is the destination, etc., stored once in the storage device 5 on the basis of the position information stored in the it infers the route to the destination, storage device 5, it infers the route to the destination, and outputs guiding image information and guiding voice information to guide a traveling object to the route to advance subsequently to a display device 6 and an audio device 7 at this side of each place on the route.
