To transmit important information wile reducing the amount of transmission information of a terminal device in acquiring route information from a center station.
The route information acquisition system comprises: the terminal device which is provided with a means for requesting the route information acquisition and transmits the present position, or starting position, and the destination to the center device via the relay device; the center device which searches the route from the present position or the starting position to the destination at the request, transmits the prepared route information to the terminal device via the relay device, wherein the center device transmits the searched route information containing degree of latitude and degree of longitude of each point on the route and the additional information to the relay device; the relay device which is provided with a readjusting means for readjusting the information containing degree of latitude and the degree of longitude for each point of the route information and the additional information on the basis of the answer information providing condition, and transmits the readjusted route information to the terminal station.
