Abstract:
To ensure traveling safety performance regardless of differences in sensor performance of on-vehicle sensors during traveling of a traveling route by driving support.SOLUTION: A driving support vehicle is equipped with a plurality of on-vehicle sensors 1 for acquiring peripheral information of an own vehicle, and a navigation control unit 3 for generating a traveling route from a current position A to a destination B. The navigation control unit 3 comprises a route search data storage unit 35, a data comparison processing unit 36, and a route search processing unit 37. The route search data storage unit 35 records the mounting type or the recognition accuracy of each of the plurality of on-vehicle sensors 1. On the basis of the recorded information, the data comparison processing unit 36 determines whether there is a strong area or a weak area of a sensor monitoring area by sensor signals from the plurality of on-vehicle sensors 1. The route search processing unit 37 suppresses the area determined to be a weak area as the sensor monitoring area, and generates a traveling route by performing route search in which the area determined to be a strong area is positively used.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
