Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an easy and high-speed route search without using a road network data with a connecting relation of roads described thereon.
SOLUTION: This method comprises means 110 for receiving information for the start point and end point requested for route search from a user and gaining information for blocks adjacent to the start point and end point from a map database 150; means 120 for searching blocks connected to the target blocks and calculating a graph structure using the blocks as nodes and the connecting relation as link; means 130 for calculating the block route from the requested start point to end point by use of the calculated graph structure for blocks; and means 140 for gaining route information from the calculated block route and outputting it to the user.
