To provide a route video control device capable of forming video information through the recognition of a symbol required for operation of a vehicle.
The device is equipped with a video acquiring means 1 for successively acquiring a plurality of different sign signals arranged along a route on which a vehicle travels and a video formed by digitizing a route, a sign signal recognizing means 2 for recognizing a sign signal in a video, a change detecting means 3 for detecting the change of a sign signal, a time recording means 4 for measuring the time required from start of a video till each changed symbol and recording the changed symbol and measured time correspondingly to each other, and a list preparation means 5 for preparing a symbol list employed to output a video from a prescribed symbol in correspondence with the time required from the start of the vide till the prescribed symbol.
