To provide a roving capable of reducing defective unwinding and improving the surface smoothness of a fiber-reinforced resin molded product.
The roving 1 is formed by unwinding each of divided strands 3 from a plurality of cakes 4 on which the divided strands 3 are wound, bundling the plurality of divided strands 3 into one, providing divided strand bundles 70 and further bundling the plurality of divided strand bundles 70 into one. Tension is applied to the roving 1 by a tension applicator 5 to wind the roving 1. Thus, a roving package 6 is formed. The two to four divided strands 3 wound onto the one cake are traversed in separate routes, respectively so as not to mutually contact. As a result, the strands 3 are wound into the cakes 4. The number of adhesive sites per 100 m in the roving 1 is not more than one.
