This royal jelly extract is characterized by containing a substance exhibiting affinity with an estrogen receptor, namely a sterol compound, a steroid compound or a saccharide, in an amount of ≥1 wt. %. The method for producing the royal jelly extract comprises adding a royal jelly raw material to a separation carrier or resin or to an estrogen receptor-bound affinity carrier and then fractionating the extract. The estrogen-deficient disease medicine contains the royal jelly extract. The food preparation contains the royal jelly extract.
