Abstract:
To improve quality of a rubber-coated cord.SOLUTION: A rubber coating device 1 is used to coat a cord K with an unvulcanized rubber G. The rubber coating device 1 includes: a rubber-squeezing-out part 2 for squeezing out the unvulcanized rubber G in a first direction; and a coating head 3 for defining a rubber chamber 21 for storing the unvulcanized rubber G. The coating head 3 includes: a head inner end face 23; and a cord inlet 24 and a cord outlet 25 through which the cord K passes. A maximum separation distance La between a cord passage 29 and the head inner end face 23 in the cord K passing through the cord inlet 24 and the cord outlet 25 is 5 mm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
