Abstract:

To provide a rubber composition for bead apexes, which can reduce the usage of raw materials originated from petroleum resources and simultaneously enables both the maintenance of physical characteristics such as hardness and the improvement of processability, and to provide a pneumatic tire having bead apexes using the rubber composition.

This rubber composition for the bead apexes comprises a rubber component, and 60 pts.mass of silica, 5 pts.mass of carbon black, and 0.1 to 0.8 pt.mass of a peptizer, on the basis of 100 pts.mass of the rubber component, wherein the rubber component contains a natural rubber component comprising at least one of natural rubber and a modified natural rubber in an amount of 10 to 100 mass%, and the pneumatic tire has the bead apexes using the rubber composition.
